Meet Dr. Reese

Randy Reese, MD, FAAFP, is a board-certified physician (and Cutera, 3D Sculpt and Cynosure Icon Laser Technician) boasting three specialties: family medicine, geriatric medicine, and emergency medicine. With nearly 35 years of medical experience under his belt, Dr. Reese has treated patients around Lake County, Oregon, for two decades and currently helms his own practice, Reese Family Practice, in Eugene, Oregon.

Dr. Reese has always felt a special devotion to science and medicine. After graduating magna cum laude from Kent State University in Ohio in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Psychology, he immediately enrolled in the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. In 1977, Dr. Reese earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and began a flexible internship through the same school.

With a passion for treating patients of all ages, Dr. Reese went on to specialize in family and geriatric medicine for 12 years, focusing on cardiology, critical care medicine, psychology, and addictionology.

Dr. Reese was both the medical director and principal physician for a 100-bed extended care facility and a 30-bed inpatient alcohol and substance abuse rehabilitation center. After more than 30,000 hours of clinical experience, Dr. Reese earned his emergency medicine board certification through the American Association of Physician Specialists in 1999.

In addition to being an emergency physician at Peace Harbor and Cottage Grove Hospitals, Dr. Reese served as an independent contractor in the emergency departments of Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton, Central Oregon District Hospital in Redmond, and Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg.

In 2002, Dr. Reese returned to family and geriatric medicine at the Veneta Medical Clinic, working his way up to medical director at the clinic through 2012.

Dr. Reese is passionate about treating patients around the Eugene community. When he is not with patients, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, drumming, swimming, skiing, and hiking.
